7th Master Class on EU Cohesion Policy
The European Week of Regions and Cities is an annual four-day event during which cities and regions showcase their capacity to create growth and jobs, implement European Union Cohesion Policy, and demonstrate the importance of the local and regional levels for good European governance.
The organisers will cover and arrange travel and accommodation of all selected participants.
RSA Early Career Grant Scheme
This award is open to individual applicants in their early career (five years maximum between the date showing on the certificate and the application deadline). Applicants must be based within an eligible higher education institution and must be a current, early career member of the RSA and throughout the duration of the grant
The RSA Early Career Grant (EC) is provided to support a discrete piece of regional studies and/or regional science research. The value of the grant is up to £10,000.
Nominations (both self-nominations and third party nominations) of current members are being sought for the following awards in regional studies and related fields, which will be awarded by the Regional Studies Association Awards Committee in 2019. The nominees are expected to have made an original and outstanding contribution to the field of regional studies. To be eligible for nomination, the recipient should be clearly identified as having made a leading personal contribution.
- Nathaniel Lichfield Award – this award is for recent Master’s graduate who have graduated within the previous year;
- RSA PhD Student Award – this award is for registered PhD students who have not yet received their certificate;
- RSA Routledge Early Career Award – this award is for early career researchers defined as being within five years of the date on their PhD certificate or equivalent.
The Awards ceremony will take place at the President’s Event on 14th November 2019 in London, UK. The prize for each Award is: (i) a cheque for £500; (ii) a certificate; (iii) a complimentary registration at the 2019 RSA President’s Event; (iv) up to £200 discretionary fund toward attending the 2019 RSA President’s Event (transport costs).
